Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) isn’t just for adults. It’s the perfect activity for kids! This martial art is founded on innate human reactions and emphasizes ground grappling. BJJ is a highly effective means of self-defense that enables smaller individuals to defend themselves against larger assailants. Moreover, BJJ offers numerous benefits to children, such as building self-assurance, teaching discipline, channeling energy, instilling respect for others, and providing an extraordinary community where they can form lasting bonds with peers and mentors.

KIDS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Overview

The Kids BJJ program is designed to introduce children to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and fun environment. The kids program is for ages 6-13. This group is taught by experienced instructors who are trained in working with children. The program is designed to foster a positive learning environment that promotes respect, discipline, and teamwork. The classes are structured to accommodate children of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Overall, the Kids BJJ program offers children an opportunity to learn and practice the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and fun environment.

The kids program builds upon the foundations established in the younger age group and expands on more advanced techniques and strategies. The curriculum includes a variety of techniques such as takedowns, throws, pins, submissions, and guard passing. The program also includes training in self-defense, physical fitness, and mental focus. This program is more focused on teaching the technical aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and preparing them for competitions, if they wish to pursue them. Classes include a mix of technique drills, sparring, and physical conditioning exercises. These are designed to challenge and develop each student’s physical and mental abilities. Our experienced coaches work closely with each student to help them set and achieve their goals. Whether that be mastering a new technique or winning a tournament.
